Adding Pages to Articles

When adding a page to an article, you have three options:

  1. Select an existing page already created in Contentful.

  2. Build a new page using one of the available preset page templates.

  3. Duplicate a page that already exists in the article.

Options one and two appear in the Add Content dropdown within the Pages section of the Article Template.

Option three—duplicating a current page—is done using the Page Duplicator on the right side of the Contentful screen.

Option 1: Add Existing Content

If you choose a page that already exists in Contentful:

  • It will be added to the article automatically.

  • No further setup is required.

Option 2: Building a New Page

If you're creating a new page:

  • You’ll choose from seven available page templates.

  • Each template offers a different layout and/or supports a specific media type (e.g., video, audio, pdf, or images ).

For details, see the next section, Article Page Templates. These templates are designed specifically for the application to ensure consistency in design and behavior.

Option 3: Duplicating a Page

If you want to duplicate an existing page, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Duplicate Page Tool On the right side of the Contentful screen, locate the Duplicate Page dropdown in the General Views panel.

Step 2: Select a Page to Duplicate Use the dropdown menu to select the page you want to duplicate from the list. The selected page will be copied into the article.

Step 3: Select Duplicate Page Click the green Duplicate Page button.

The new copied page will appear in the Pages section as a draft.

Step 4: Edit the New Page Update the new page as needed. See Article Page Templates for detailed explanations of each template field.

Step 5: Publish the New Page Click the green Publish button in the upper-right corner of the screen to publish your new page.

Note: All pages must be published to appear in the app. If any required fields are missing, Contentful will display an error message.
